South India is another India worthy to be explored. The South
Indian people are mainly of Dravidian origine as are their
languages. They have own characteristics features of their
culture. The classical dances of India like "Bharat Natyam" and
"Kathakali" have South Indian origin. Earlier confined in the
Hindu temples, the classical dances are now performed on stages
all over the world. In the state Tamilnadu, there is an world
heritage sight namely Mahabalipuram dating back to the seventh
century Pallava Dynasty. On the mountain Nilgiri, the Ooty hill
station is located.
Banglore, the capital of Karnataka is a hub of Information
Technology. The office of the Indian Space Research Organization
(ISRO) is situated here. The city has become on of the most
preferred places for overseas professionals. The city of
Hyderabad (Cyberarabad!) has of late blossomed out into a
technological capital of Andhra Pradesh. To experience an exotic
ambience, going to Pondicheri is must which was a former French
colony. The other important places are the part of Kochi,
Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary etc. which are in the state of
